Schelley McRae

Club Coach

NCCP Level 2 Certified, coaching since 1997

Started skating with the Vernon Figure Skating Club at the age of 3 ½ years and has been a member of the Vernon Figure Skating Club, Kelowna Figure Skating Club as well as the Royal Glenora Club in Edmonton

Personal test accomplishments include Gold Dance, Gold Skills, Gold Free Skate, Gold Figure, Gold and Competitive Skating Skills and Senior Competitive Freeskate

Competitor in BC Sectionals, and Western and Central Canadian Championships

Hal Hobenshield

CANPower Coach

Hal was born and raised in Northern BC and now lives with his wife and two daughters in Vernon, BC. He played rep hockey throughout his minor hockey career up to Junior A level. During his training Hal always enjoyed focusing on the details of skating and participated in hockey schools both as participant and as an councilor. Hal has been an active member in all of the communities he has lived in coaching many different sport disciplines such as women's hockey, ball hockey and soccer. He has his level 2 coaching with Hockey Canada. He is passionate about investing in the community and especially helping youth reach their potential. Since 2007 Hal has been an instructor in the Aircraft Maintenance Program at Okanagan college, has a Professional Instructor Diploma through Vancouver Community College and had recently completed a Masters in Leadership in Business through Trinity Western University.
